We’re spending too much time in it!
Just as well we love it.
It’s quiet, fast, sticks to the road and free to drive….
It used to cost us over $50 to go to Melbourne and back, $5 to $10 to visit our local town to buy milk, visit the beach, see family and friends, go out for dinner etc etc.
We go into town a lot more than we used to. Really racking up the kilometers. We’ll do some 30,000 km a year if we keep this up. That’s over $7000 savings in fuel a year, and no GHG emissions.
Slight case of range anxiety still, but we’ve never had an issue, not even close. Return to Melbourne and back in a day without charging – no problem. And every day there are more chargers popping up….
Yes I know a new car, and especially an EV, cause a lot of GHG in their manufacture, but they do pay them back, particularly if charged by renewables. And we’re just using excess power from our existing system.)
