The bulldozer has come in to clear the site. We’ve got really mixed feelings about this – we hate clearing the bush, even though most of it is seriously degraded.
There are often koalas in nearby trees – but not today. Can’t see any other wildlife either, so good to go.
There’s one stand of kitsoniana that just has to be removed, and a few others that need thinning to meet our defendable space requirements. Really sad, but we’re planting far more that we’ve grown from their seeds….
It’s so exciting, and a relief to be finally underway.
